What We're About

At A Pup Above, we are a Calgary based breeder. We breed top notch Golden Retrievers and Goldendoodles. We focus on experience and quality. Our goal is to ensure that your lifelong companion is healthy, intelligent, and trainable. We take time to screen each parent, so the best genetics are passed on.

Our puppies are raised in home to socialize them with all the sights and sounds of a busy household. My kids handle pups from an early age to socialize and teach them how to interact. The one thing you shouldn’t worry about, is when your puppy is out and about with you, they behave appropriately when they are around little ones.

We pride ourselves in what we send home. We start the process of house training the puppy. At 4 weeks we introduce them to pine litter training. We have found our puppies experience incredible success transitioning to house training. We expose your puppy to a crate in their puppy playroom. They will find comfort in the crate. The puppy is not fully crate trained but has a great start.

A big part of the care we give comes down to what we feed. We follow the Prey Model Raw (PMR). This comes with lots of information to digest. We believe that this is one of best methods for your future pup to grow and develop. We encourage everyone to study what you will be feeding your dog. We are happy to help teach how to feed the best. Puppies come with the first needle, deworming, and microchip. We provide a TWO year Health Guarantee.
